Statement of Faith

1. We believe in the Triune God, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:18-20, John 10:30, John 14).  The Bible is our doctrine for there is no other doctrine, except the Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 13:9, 2 John 1:9-10)

2. We believe that Jesus is God come in the flesh and that He was born of the Virgin Mary. (Matthew 1:18, Luke 1:26-38)

3. We believe that the only way to salvation is through Jesus, for He said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6) Jesus’ atoning blood was shed at the cross for our salvation. The ultimate Sacrifice was the shedding of His blood for us to have a covering for our sin, which is Jesus’ atoning blood, for God to see that we belong to Him.  Knowing that we have been purchased with a price through Jesus’ dying on the cross for our sins.  By making the acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, this will give us the key to the only entry into eternity.  (John 14:1-4)

4. We believe in water baptism, as taught, demonstrated and instructed by Jesus, as the way for believers to identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; Matthew 3:13-17) The water baptism symbolizes dying to one’s self and becoming reborn to fulfill the righteousness of God.

5. We believe that being baptized in the Holy Spirit means we agree with the testimony of the scripture Acts 2. Jesus, before He went to heaven, told His disciples that the Comforter would be coming to help them minister in His name.  (John 14:15-18 & 26)

6. We believe that when we receive the Holy Spirit, that all the gifts of the Holy Spirit are manifested through us to be as Jesus was while He was on the earth.  As well as, the Fruits of the Spirit that will bring us into the wisdom and righteousness of God, making us one with the church.  This extra power that we receive from God through His Spirit helps us to ward off the devil, heal the sick, and it gives us the power to preach as Jesus did.  (1 Corinthians 12:4-11, Matthew 10:7-10) For to do any ministry with the power and authority you need to follow these steps.

7. We believe that God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are the same yesterday, today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8) That God is omnipotent and omnipresent, the only one there is.  We stand firm on the teachings and miracles of Jesus Christ.  That everyone who receives are able to perform the same miracles as Christ did. (Matthew 28:18)

8. We believe in diversity within this group as stated in Galatians 3:27-29 “For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

9. We believe that we are to love and not judge one another. (Matthew 7:1-7) For, God is love and He loves all people, wanting us to love as Christ has loved us.  It is His desire that we reach out to those who are poor, oppressed, widowed or orphaned, and to heal the brokenhearted. (Psalm 68:5,6; 1 John 4:7,8,16; 1 Corinthians 13:1) We need to always be forgiving of each other and straighten out our differences whether right or wrong.  God wants for us to be an example to those who don’t know Him, as we do.  Praying always for unity to be among us and our fellow Christians.
